How to make an outsource relationship insource-like

Big thank you to Matthew Esler for jumping on today’s web event to talk insource-like outsourcing. A lot of love in the chat box for today’s session which was awesome. Thanks to Jake Wilkins, Marcus Nicholls, Peter Tribolet, Peter Handberg and Stuart Mangion for throwing out your virtual high fives to Matt today.

In this discussion, Matt talked us through the three personas he’s created which he believes summarises the different types of advisers when it comes to advice preparation:

Donald the DIY adviser

Ian the insourcing adviser and

Owen the outsourcing adviser

Matt used some great analogies and stories to highlight the pros and cons, and opportunity cost of each of the above personas when it comes to outsourcing.

Matt explained how PADUA are able to remain competitive on price while keeping all outsourcing resources on-shore and why they made a decision from the outset to focus only on tech that enhances advice preparation. Matt also took us on a tour to Italy showing us the PADUA tech suite (which are all named after cities in Italy). Fun fact: PADUA is also names after an Italian city.

Matt and the team recently kicked off their own PADUA Group on XY. You can jump in and check it out HERE.

To get in touch with Matt, and give him a virtual high five for his Hank Scorpio profile pic and pick his brain about what he and the team are up to at PADUA, head HERE.
